Hypnobirthing Essentials Classes
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Pregnancy is an exciting time, but sometimes we can feel some fear and anxiety about birth as it approaches. Hypnobirthing is a highly effective and proven way of preparing for your baby’s birth, so that when you go into labour you feel confident, relaxed and calm.
Our modern, midwife-led Hypnobirthing Essentials classes are a perfect add-on for those who have or will be doing antenatal classes elsewhere (e.g. NCT or Bump and Baby Club), or for second (third, or fourth!) time mums who perhaps didn’t have such a positive experience of birth the first time around.
Our Hypnobirthing Essentials course includes:
– 4 hours of teaching from experienced midwife, Tami
– Breathing exercises
– Deep relaxation techniques
– Light-touch massage technique for use during labour
– Positive reinforcement
– Aromatherapy and use of essential oils during labour
– How to stay in control of your labour when medical intervention is recommended
– A simple daily practice regime for use after the course
– The Hypnobirthing Book by Katherine Graves and Hypnobirthing audio tracks
The course takes place on Saturday mornings 09:00-13:00 and includes light refreshments and Tami’s contact details should you have any questions following the course. We accept a maximum of 8 couples onto the course so please book early to avoid disappointment!
The course takes place at The Nurtured Nest, Image House, Molesey Road, Hersham KT12 3PD (right next to Hersham Train Station). The next course dates are:
Saturday 4th April 09:00-13:00
Saturday 23rd May 09:00-13:00
Saturday 11th June 09:00-13:00
Saturday 29th August 09:00-13:00
Saturday 10th October 09:00-13:00
Saturday 28th November 09:00-13:00
The course fee is £125, or £150 if you would like to include a Newborn Nurture workshop.
What is Newborn Nurture?
Newborn Nurture is a 90 minute workshop designed to help support babies in their transition from womb to world. Kayleigh, an experienced baby massage teacher and newborn maternity nurse will show you some massage techniques that you can use from birth as well as settling techniques and newborn baby care. Workshops are held at the weekends to give both parents the opportunity to participate together.
You can bring your baby to a newborn nurture workshop any time from birth – 16 weeks of age.
Groups are kept small with no more than 4 babies and their parents.
Classes run every 8-10 weeks and once your baby has arrived Kayleigh will contact you to arrange a suitable date.
